BAfEP Salzburg (AT)
European Oak for Contemporary Educational Architecture
With the new BAfEP Salzburg building – BAfEP being Austria’s Federal College for Early Childhood Education – a contemporary educational space was created that combines functionality, clarity and natural materials. Around 2,000 m² of European Oak, grades E and B, define the interior design and create a warm, welcoming learning atmosphere. In the classrooms, the high-quality oak surfaces are used for custom-made shelving, ensuring structured and harmonious learning environments. In the auditorium, they provide distinctive design accents in the form of seating benches and shelving for books and magazines. The natural appearance of oak combines durability with timeless aesthetics and underlines the commitment to quality and sustainability in modern educational architecture.
